This piece, titled They Work Together, explores the theme of unity and collaboration between nature, culture, and identity. The Peregrine Falcon, a symbol of strength and keen vision, holds a bundle of wheat, representing sustenance, growth, and the land's generosity. Together, they signify the symbiotic relationship between humans and the natural world—a partnership in which each supports and sustains the other. Indigenous patterns weave through the composition, reflecting my heritage and grounding this image in cultural identity. These designs are not merely decorative; they are intentional markers of connection to ancestry and tradition, reinforcing the idea that our strength and resilience come from a collective history and mutual support. They Work Together is a reminder that harmony and balance arise when we honor the interdependence between all elements of life—nature, culture, and identity—working together as one.

About Paityn Savoie:
Paityn Savoie is a Métis illustrator based in Treaty No. 7, Canada. They graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts with a degree in Illustration Design and a minor in Printmaking. Their work merges natural elements with an unsettling touch, often reflecting the rugged, rural aesthetic of the midwestern territories. Skilled in both printmaking and textiles, Paityn brings bold, uncanny shapes to life, using vibrant yet limited color palettes.
