Each red dress pin is handmade. Beads are sewn on 1-2 at a time to create the design. Each pin measures approximately 1 x 1.75 inches. Because this item is handmade, it may vary slightly from images shown.

May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for MMIWG (Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls), also known as Red Dress day. Indigenous women & girls are more likely to be murdered than any other groups in Canada. Red Dress day, and every day, is a time to honour and raise awareness for this ongoing crisis we face in Canada. Artist Bio:
Maria Livingston is a member of the Bigstone Cree First Nation and currently lives in Lethbridge Alberta. She began beading out of necessity to make her own pow wow regalia before she started her business, Teal Fawn Designs in 2017. Maria received her B. A. from the University of Lethbridge in 2015 and has been working with Indigenous students in various capacities since then.
